- While the type of cyst isn’t disclosed by the doctor, the contents are likely a mix of dead skin cells and keratin which is gray in color due to melanin.
- The stomach-churning excision has left some fans comparing the contents to soft serve ice cream, Nutella, sludge, and cement.
Even if you’ve seen ever cyst pop video possible, you’ve never seen anything like this. In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper — aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD — removes cyst from a patient’s shoulder containing overflowing cement-like contents. The gruesome excision has also left some fans comparing the contents to soft serve ice cream, Nutella, and sludge.
“This is horrific and amazing all at the same time,” one fan commented on the Instagram post. And you will surely agree.
In the short video, Dr. Lee squeezes the massive cyst to drain it of smooth and thick gray contents. After that stomach-churning moment, the doctor is seen removing a dark sac, known as the cyst wall, which prevents the cyst from returning. In the clip, the famous dermatologist compares the contents of the cyst to pudding.
“We said it was like chocolate pudding, but now it’s like vanilla pudding that is no longer vanilla,” the doctor says.
But the festering vanilla pudding-like contents isn’t actually rotten. The gray hue is due to the mixture of dead skin cells and keratin making up the cyst’s contents, which is colored by the melanin content in the patient’s skin.
Whether you think this removal is reminiscent of soft serve, sludge, or cement, one thing is for sure: This excision will haunt your dreams.
