Even if the 49ers or the Chiefs aren’t your team, the Super Bowl is an unmissable event in the annual calendar. No matter who is playing, you’ve got to tune in for some world-class athleticism, or at least the commercials.
This year, among the celebs who made major commercial cameos was none other than Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa, and we love us some Momoa. He’s a superhero, Game of Thrones royalty and the guy who strips down to a tank top at a black tie event (making us want to throw another arm day into our workout split).
We got to see a different side of the actor in his gig for Rocket Mortgage by Quicken Loans, a softer contrast to the macho dude we’re used to seeing—or maybe just his comedic side.
Even leading up to his Super Bowl commercial debut, Momoa was teasing the ad on his Instagram with a scene in a bubble bath, or, our favorite, singing into a pink hairbrush.
If you’re sporting locks as long as Aquaman, you definitely need a solid hairbrush in your grooming arsenal, and you’ve probably tossed a few out over the years.
The one Momoa holds in the Quicken Loans ad is the WetBrush Go Green Detangler, which is actually eco-friendly. What does that mean for a hairbrush, exactly?
Pretty unique for a hair brush, the Go Green Detangler’s handle is made from an all-natural biodegradable plant starch that naturally breaks down in a landfill within five years.
Considering Momoa is a guy who Instagram-shamed his buddy and fellow superhero Chris Pratt for using single-use plastic, we’d bet that this is the hairbrush he’s using IRL to handle his serious abundance of hair (props).
If you’ve ever had long locks, then you can attest the most annoying and painful thing about is the tangles. WetBrush has cornered the hairbrush market as the solution to that problem, painlessly detangling hair with its soft bristles, and this eco-friendly version does the same. It’s a game changer for dudes with a mane.
Momoa was using the pink version in the Quicken Loans commercial, but it’s available in other colors, too, if pink isn’t your thing.
